Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 (DOE)

Looking to move off the tools and into project management?

This client is seeking a practical and organised Junior Production Project Coordinator to support the delivery of retail displays, shopfitting projects, manufactured fixtures, POS displays and marketing activations. The role is ideal for someone with experience in carpentry, joinery, construction, shopfitting, roofing, windows, fit-out, manufacturing or installation who is looking to develop a career in project and production management.

You’ll work closely with suppliers, manufacturers, account managers and creative teams to help coordinate projects from initial brief through to production and installation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate retail display and production projects from concept through to installation.
  • Prepare production briefs, specifications and project documentation.
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturers and installation teams.
  • Obtain quotations and assist with cost management.
  • Review technical drawings, specifications and production information.
  • Monitor project timelines and help ensure deadlines are achieved.
  • Support prototype development and production rollouts.
  • Maintain project records using Microsoft Office and project management systems.

Ideal Candidate

Essential

  • Background in carpentry, joinery, construction, roofing, windows, fit-out, shopfitting, manufacturing or installation.
  • Strong practical understanding of how products, fixtures or structures are built and installed.
  • Excellent organisational skills.
  • Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Competent IT skills including:
    • Microsoft Excel
    • Microsoft Word
    • Outlook
    • Project tracking systems
    • Document management
  • Ability to read dimensions, specifications and technical information.

Desirable

  • Experience reading technical or construction drawings.
  • Project coordination experience.
  • Knowledge of retail displays, POS, manufacturing, joinery, metalwork or fabrication.
  • Experience using Asana or similar project management software.
